Power bakeress Ginger Lucy is back with this pretty fly-by-the-seat of your pants effort, and she made it especially for me! I think hitting 27 requires something a bit special and peanut butter and chocolate should fit the bill. I was slightly dubious about bringing said beauty into work, as the current form of my colleagues would indicate that if I'm not quick, the whole thing might get scoffed...

It looks like chocolate... but it's peanut butter... you're messing with my senses man! Very peanut buttery it is too .. and luckily i love peanut butter. It's very very rich though so only one small piece at a time..

There were a few raised eyebrows when this beauty was revealed to be a chocolate and peanut butter cake, but I think minds were manipulated by the tasting... Sponge was moist, topping was firm, and it was endlessly rich. I did have plans to save a slice and have it warm with a blob of vanilla ice-cream, but IT got there first!

Superb looking cake, and tasted as good as it looked.
Wasn't expecting the peanut butter - a very pleasant surprise.
